In order to obtain reliable results in chemical or pharmaceutical analysis, the method of analysis must be validated first, before it can be used routinely in a QC-laboratory. VMA Solutions is enabling users to calculate various newest validation parameters. It is well known that correlation coefficient alone cannot be used to express the linearity, therefore, linearity in this software will be evaluated using various methods, i.e. relative process standard deviation (Vx0), g-value, QC-mean, Fisher variant ratio, Mandel’s test, ANOVA, and correlation coefficient; the homogeneity of the calibration curve could be also calculated. The evaluation of precision and trueness will be combined using the new accuracy profile method, however, the recovery curve still could be calculated. Accuracy profile is calculated based on the equations of González et al. as well as Rozet and Hubert et al. Robustness evaluation using Plackett-Burmann design can be also used, hence, each of the effects that might affect the analysis could be determined. This software is able to draw many graphics of the described new validation parameters, including linear regression, recovery curve, accuracy profile, and Shewhart chart.
